XP and Windows® 7 on both 32 bit and 64 bit platforms. The hardware security key is available in either
parallel port or USB format. Annual Maintenance provides 12 months of updates for GibbsCAM® licensed
software, ensuring continuing compatability with current CAD software releases and providing you with an
ongoing position at the cutting edge of CAM technology. All packages include PosteHASTE for GibbsCAM post
processor with an initial set of 225 post templates. Custom post processor modification requires current
software versions.

Mill
Module (addition to Lathe Package only) - Create 2-, 2.5-, an dsimple 3-axis geometry. Generate
2-, 2.5-, and simple 3-axis toolpaths with no air cutting; includes drilling, contouring, and pocketing.
Post Process to multiple environments. Upload and download to any CNC machine with RS-232 (requires
wiring).
Lathe
Module (addition to Mill Package only) - Quickly create 2-axis geometry. Generate 2-axis
toolpaths with no air cutting and automatic clearance calculation. Post Process to multiple environments.

CutDATA™
- Over 71,000 machining
recommendations for feeds and speeds for use with Material Database; capability for Milling and Turning, and
works with all packages.
Advanced
CS - Program in multiple
coordinate systems with 4- and 5-axis rotary positioning capabilities. Requires Mill, Mill/Turn, or MTM
(requires Post Processor upgrade).
Solids
Import - Import solid
model designs from Parasolid and IGES format CAD files with ability to machine with Mill module functionality.
Also includes the dirct read of SolidWorks and Solid Edge model files. ACIS SAT read is optional. Advanced Mill
is required for full functionality.
2.5D
Solids - Directly create
or import, edit, and machine 2.5D solid parts. Includes automated feature recognition for holes. High-quality
toolpath maintains analytic elements. Requires either Milling or Turning packages and Advanced Mill and Solids
Import options.
SolidSurfacer - Create and machine 3-axis solid and surface part models. Import Parasolid and IGES CAD files
with ability to repair and modify. Generate automated roughing and finishing cycles with gouge-free toolpaths.
Requires the Milling package, Advanced Mill, Solids Import, and 2.5D Solids options.
Rotary
Mill -Simultaneously program
and additional axis with the ability to wrap and shape or toolpath around a cylinder via rotary axis
interpolation. Create posted outputs of feed rates for rotary axis based on either linear or angular values.
With Mill midule, machine 4-axis simultaneously (typically using the A-axis). Also supports B-axis for
horizontal mills. Rotary axis interpolates A, X, Z with Mill/Turn function, wrap (typically using the C-axis).
Rotary axis interpolates C, X, Z. Works with all Milling packages (requires post
upgrade).
4-Axis Milling - Simultaneously drives one rotary axis (A, B, or C) with X, Y, and/or Z. Supports
Y-axis off-center milling for radial prismatic parts defined by solid models or 3D geometry. Requires a
4-Axis/5-Axis post upgrade.
5-Axis
Milling - Simultaneously
drives two rotary axes (A, B, and/or C) with X, Y, and/or Z. Supports freeform 3D solids and geometry
(impellers, etc.) Requires 2.5D Solids or SolidSurfacer, and a 4-Axis/5-Axis post
upgrade.
VoluMillTM Wireframe for GibbsCAM - Adds
powerful high speed roughing functionality and controlled material removal rate for GibbsCAM Milling. Requires
Production Milling, and Advanced CS is recommended for full functionality.
VoluMillTM Solids for GibbsCAM - Adds powerful
high speed roughing functionality and controlled material removal rate for GibbsCAM Milling. Requires VoluMill
Wireframe and 2.5D Solids option.
MTM™ -
Multi-Task Machining (3 levels) - Allows sub- and multiple spindles, multiple tool groups/turrets, and advanced turning
capabilities/ Requires Turning Package and Multi-Task Machining Post. Also requires Mill module and appropriate
options for live tooling. We recommend Rotary Milling for most MTM applications.
Level 1: Supports single flow operations (sub-spindle, B-axis, bar feeder, parts
catcher, and tailstock)
Level 2: Supports dual flow operations (typically 4-axis CNC
machines)
Level 3: Multiple flow operations (typically more thatn 4-axis CNC
machines)
TMS -
Tombstone Management System - Position and program multi-part setups on tombstone fixtures, automatically generating WFOs
and rotary moves. Requires the Mill Package and Advanced Mill options. 2.5D Solids option highly
recommended.
Machine
Simulation - Model machine
tool and simulate machine tool motions to verify setup and all milling programs. Requires Milling Package and
2.5D Solids option.
Wire-EDM
- Supports 2-axis
parallel, 2-axis tapered with/without parallel lands and 4-axis tapered with/without land. Post processors for
most popular Wire-EDM machines included. Requires Mill module.
SOFTWARE LICENSING OPTION
The standard software licensing mechanism is a
hardware dongle in either parallel port or USB port format, which must be specified at time of
purchase.
Network
License - Provides a
network server version of the GibbsCAM software to share licenses within that network. The software controls
modules and options that users can check-in/check-out, based on the number of modules and options purchased by
the customer. Consult your Reseller for optimum configuration. NOTE: Mainenance purchase is also required for
individual seat licenses.
CAD INTEROPERABILITY OPTIONS
All of the following options require either 2.5D Solids Milling or Turning, 2.5D
Mill/Turn, 3D Milling, or 3D Milling and Turning.
ACIS/SAT - Directly read ACIS SAT solids files from many CAD sources. Required to support
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop of Invento Add-ins.
Solid Exchange Built on Granite - Directly read Pro/ENGINEER model files. Also, read STEP AP203 and AP214 files.
Requires Windows NT, 2000, or XP.
CATIA V4 Reader - Directly read native CATIA V4 model files.
CATIA V5 Reader - Directly read native CATIA V5 model files.
UGS/NX Reader - Directly read native UGS Unigraphics/NX files.
VDA-FS Reader - Import VDA-FS (German automotive industry standard) trimmed surface
files.
